Artist Registration Open Now for 2013 show.

Artist- A few have already registered on Monday evening when it was turned on. That is great but now for the rest of you please Register to be a part of the show ASAP. The sooner we have the right mix the sooner we can post and share who will be in the show this year.

To register it is much the same as past years. Actually little to no change other than the date being Saturday, December 7th, 2013. The link is here:

Hope to see many of you from the past and some news folks too. I Can’t wait for the show. Sorry I am a bit late posting the registration. I got back from Kenya later this year than in past years and both my laptops my good one and my backup were down so no way to move forward until I got them fixed.

Should be a great show this year.

New Year new date set…

Hope every one has a great new year in 2013. As we plan the year we have he proposed date of Saturday 7th of December 2013. Same location in Northside.

A thanks to everyone that made the show so nice. Also wanted to add just how cool the artist are that we have to. Many shoppers who made special orders with artists the day of the show either ran into me while out or reached out to me through email and shared how happy they were with how quickly and considerately the artist shipped or dropped-off the items to them.

See you all next year. I am off to Kenya for a few months to do my efforts there.

Thanks,- Jamey

Almost the last day of the year- Friday, December 30th, 2011

ArtSwap set-up starts at 6pm swapping begins at 6:30pm
Dinner begins at 7:30pm
Concert starts at 8:30pm …will go til who knows.

$10 is the registration fee but wait- it gets you the swap table, great dinner included and the FREE ticket to the house concert with Brian Ernst – the one man band who jams with Guitars, Weissenborn, Percussion, Halos, Didgeridoos, and a looping pedal! Brain will be jamming, sharing stories and inspiring us for the new year’s creations.

A. The Art Swap is open to registered artist that have shown in a professional manner and are interested in swapping artwork with other professional artist. I use the professional artist loosely cause really what is a professional artist anyway. Just expecting that you have sold your art in a juried show, gallery, coffee house, etc. If you are unsure if you fit in the swap simply email me with some samples. really do not give it too much thought – just enjoy the event.

B. All registered artist are welcome to stay for the buffet pasta dinner. Add a significant other or friend for just $10. Bring your own beverage. It will be a complete meal worth staying for. Welcome to bring wine, beer, soda, etc.

Basically this is a very very low-key event just to have some fun and fellowship with other local artist and say “Hooraaah” to the end of the year and fresh start to the new one.

Event Overview/Guidelines:
1. Doors open for set up at 5:30pm (we will be there early if you want to come early) swapping starts at 6:30pm.
2. Please make sure your items are tagged with the retail price (a real price, please do not inflate it- recall you are a breathing artist not dead how much can it really be worth) The idea is it is an artist-to-artist swap so please lets make it work and be simple.
3. Do not plan to decorate your table, or make it all pretty! We are swapping!!
4. Pay your $10 online and pre-register. Again it includes your table, dinner and concert.
5. Dress comfy — this is a laid-back event among artist friends.
6. Each swap is done artist-to-artist. So if you swap a $50 piece of art with Sally. Than Sally will go to your table and find a $50 swap. If Sally takes a $75 piece than you need to go back and find another $25 from her table. This will take some flexibility of course and some negotiations. You will need some large pieces as well as some smaller items to clear the balance to zero in the swap.
7. You are able to introduce a third party into the Swap and we will explain this later to help get a zero balance.
8. If you put the art on the table you must be ready to part with the artwork.
9. What can be in the Swap: any art you have created, a few items you may have collected and are ready to part with from other artist, items that other artist might have interest in, such as found objects, paints, canvas, art supplies, etc. Please do not make this a flea market but an artist Swap. But bring items that will be of interest to your fellow artist.

Finally as you can see the rules if we call them that are pretty loose. We see it as we are all adults and expect us to all act like it and be respectful of each other and make it work. Really do we need one person to ruin the whole night per being a butt. We will help in resolving any issues if there are any but really- will we have too?

If you have further questions use the contact page and send us an email. We will reply quickly.
